Irons didn’t like Niang’s attitude

West Ham are not likely to revisit the possibility of signing M’Baye Niang.

The player’s agent has been at pains to explain that the AC Milan player turned down the Irons but sources inside the club insist it was the other way around.

Agent Stephane Courbis and the 19-year-old were in London for talks on a possible loan deal after being told the player was surplus to requirements at Milan.

Courbis is quoted as saying: “On Monday I met with West Ham, who were interested in the player. The Hammers would like him on loan, but I don’t think it is the right choice, so I excluded it.

“We prefer a permanent deal and we seek a coach who strongly believes in Niang.”

However, last night a top source inside the Boleyn told ClaretandHugh exclusively that’s not how the scenario unfolded and that it was the Hammers decision to reject a deal.

He said: “We rejected Niang not the other way around, we didn’t like his attitude.”
