Irons linked to Senegal striker

The Irons are this morning (Tues) reported as being ready to make a summer move for Senegal striker Moussa Konate.

There has been no formal confirmation but the claim is he is also of interest to Newcastle and Aston villa after replacing Diafra Sakho at January’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The 6ft 21 year old came off the bench to score twice in his country’s 2-1 win over Ghana and has scored 11 times in 17 appearances for his club, Swiss side FC Sion, this season.
