Kouyate is out for six weeks

David Gold has confirmed our worst fears on twitter tonight. Kouyate is out for five weeks following results of his scan.

Speaking on twitter Gold said “Bad news. C.Kouyate will be out for 6 weeks. He will probably miss 5 games and might be available for Aston Villa at home 8 nov. dg”

Gold had previously said Kouyate would be fine but responding to one fan he defended himself “I saw him after the match and he told me he would be fine. dg”
