Mixed emotions for QPR’S Hammers old and new

It was a day of seriously mixed emotions for Hammers past and present who today were part of the Queens Park Rangers push back into the Premier League at the first attempt.

Former Irons boss Harry Redknapp saw his team manage one shot on target from 33-years old  Bobby Zamora who repeated his glory glory day with the winner just as he did in the 2005-06 season with us against Preston North End.

Bobby was always a Hammers hero scoring 30 goals in 130 appearances for the club between 2004-2008

The ten men Rangers though looked dead and buried when former Hammers midfielder Gary O’Neill was sent off after for QPR after hacking down Johnny Russell just outside the area and seemingly leaving his team with Mission Impossible.

But another ex-Iron,goalkeeper  Rob Green had different ideas and kept his team in the game before Zamora struck the £130 million goal minutes from the end.

It was a bad day for on-loan Hammer Ravel Morrison who was overlooked by Redknapp for the entire 90 minutes.

And of course another on loan Hammer, the hapless Modibo Maiga was unsurprisingly nowhere near the squad!
