Morrison remanded in custody

According to Manchester Evening news reporter John Scheerhout West Ham player Ravel Morrison has been remanded in custody on charges he assaulted his ex girlfriend and her mother. He is alleged to have slapped and punched his former partner before punching her mother. He entered no plea and only spoke to confirm his name during the hearing at Manchester magistrates court this afternoon. Wearing a white t-shirt and white tracksuit bottoms in the dock of court 6, Morrison was told his case would be adjourned for one week so he will be remanded in custody. It sis claimed Morrison closed his eyes and puffed his cheeks out after being refused bail. District Judge James Prowse refused a bail application made by Morrison’s solicitor Ros Emsley-Smith. He was hand cuffed and taken back to his cell to be transferred to a prison. District Judge Prowse told him: “You are remanded in custody to appear back before this court by video-link from prison one week from today on August 7.”
