David Moyes could yet be a contender for the West Ham manager job again after reports emerged that he is growing increasingly frustrated with the Real Sociedad board’s position on player recruitment.

Moyes wants significant investment to be made in his Sociedad squad this summer but the club’s hierarchy are stalling on a commitment to do so.

Spanish newspaper AS claims that Sociedad president Jokin Apperibay has warned David Moyes that he will only be able to recruit three or four players to add to a squad who finished 12th in La Liga – despite the Moyes wanting to see a complete overhaul of his squad so he can challenge for Europe next season.

He took charge at Sociedad last November and has overseen 10 wins from his 31 games in charge, leading the club to 12th in La Liga.
