West Ham will not be offering Italian loan signing Antonio Nocerino a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The Italian international has been a peripheral figure making eight fleeting appearances since arriving from Milan in January.

And although the club will be busy in the transfer market this summer, the 29 year old does not figure in their plans.

A senior source told Claret and Hugh exclsuive: “There is no option to buy the player would be available at around £4 million but I see no readiness to do a deal.”

He added that  first and foremost boss Sam Allardyce was looking for a powerful’ player capable of sitting in front of the defence and capable of breaking things down and setting people on their way.

Noceirno has been unable to impress sufficiently to set anybody inside the club thinking seriously about the possibility of joining on a permanent deal.

The midfielder explained in his first interview that he would love to become a full time Hammer butthe source told ClaretandHugh:: “That’s very unlikely – he’s not really the type we are looking for if I’m honest.”
