ClaretandHugh was told a few minutes ago that the West Ham skipper will have a second scan on the injury which early indications suggest could be serious.
Nolan is understood to have fell awkwardly in the training and early signs are that he has suffered a collarbone injury which could involve an eight to 12 week lay-off.
A Hammers training ground source said: “Kev is likely to have a scan tomorrow or Tuesday but early indications are that it’s not good and he may need surgery.
“It’s impossible to know exactly what the injury is but things are not that encouraging and he could be missing for a while yet. At the moment it looks quite serious.”
