O’Brien marriage security ultra tight

Joey O’Brien was married yesterday amid tighter security than was sometimes shown by the Hammers back four last season!

Guests, including the groom’s club team-mates Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan  were ushered into St Augustine’s Church which was adorned with a white carpet and lavish floral displays, by strict security staff.

The 28 year old defender tied was married to Joanne Martin (23) with the groom arriving five minutes before the planned 2 pm kick off.

According to The independent Joey then took his bride for a surprise helicopter ride from the Phoenix Park to the exclusive Powerscourt Hotel in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, for a five-star reception.

There was a tight perimeter around the ceremony, with unofficial photographers andonlookers being escorted down the street by members of security, who asked them to “move on” several times.
