Arsenal midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, has blamed West Ham for his mate Carl Jenkinson’s love of Country Music – claiming West Ham have corrupted his former team-mate and pal!

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s eagerly anticipated Gunners versus clash at the Emirates, the Arsenal flier joked to Arsenal TV: “Carl Jenkinson’s music is the worst type of music. He really has taken a turn for the worst, I really am worried about him.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jenks are long-standing friends. And the two regularly share a lively bit of banter.

Added the Gunners ace, whose goal won the Community Shield for Arsene Wenger’s team on Sunday: “I have been watching his Snapchats and he’s [been] at a concert in Salt Lake.

“Chequered shirts on, he’s got his shades, flip-flops and his shorts, and he is there in Salt Lake City living it up to Mr Country Man and I’m just looking thinking ‘he’s changed. West Ham has corrupted him’.”
