Offers for Ravel Morrison are likely to start at around £3 million should any of Newcastle, Queens Park Rangers or Swansea City move in for the  Hammers midfielder.

ClaretandHugh understand that Rangers and Newcastle are both interested but have yet to make up their minds finally on whether to launch a formal bid.

Swansea City have long been linked with a move but a source close to Morrison told us this afternoon: “There’s nothing definite there – just an official at the club telling us he is on their radar.

“However, once the bidding starts it far more realistic to think in terms of £3 million as a starting point

“West Ham have been talking in terms of £7m-£8m for Rav but that’s a lot of cash for a player who wasn’t a regular in the the first team and went out on loan to the Championship for three months.

“Newcastle are big admirers and with Rangers remaining interested any move from the Tyneside outfit would help the Hammers cause.

“It’s always better to have two or three clubs interested than seeing one have the field to themselves.

“However, there’s nothing imminent and Ravel himself is away on holiday but we expect something to break before pre-season starts.”
