Rav talks on cards before July 3 return

West Ham’s squad will return to Chadwell Heath for the start of pre-season training on July 3.

And ClaretandHugh understands a meeting involving Ravel Morrison is high on the agenda with the club keen to sort out the midfielder’s future.

There have been no enquiries for the midfielder despite speculation that both QPR and Swansea are interested and the Hammers  are keen to plot a way forward for the youngster.

Co-chairman David Gold has regularly claimed the Hammers want Rav to stay at the club and has made it clear meetings will be held with him aimed at absorbing him fully back into the squad.

He said: “Everything is in his  hands. He remains an important player to this team and can change the way we play when he is involved.

“However, we are aiming to bring in players to put pressure on places and nobody can expect to be guaranteed a first team place.

“We’d love to see Ravel fully involved and ready to sign a new deal but it’s all in his hands – it’s all up to him.”
