Frankfurt fan website www.sge4ever.de claims that West Ham have reignited interest in German centre back Martin Hinteregger.

Hinteregger has been linked with West Ham in transfer reports since 2018 and was hotly tipped to join the Hammers in the last two transfer windows.

The report claimed the club has submitted a bid worth €13.5m (£12.2m) bid rising to €20m (£18.2m)

Last month Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner has seemingly shut the door on a potential Martin Hinteregger move, claiming :‘he sees himself at Frankfurt’ next season adding; “There will always be offers [for Martin] because he’s good.”

“But he has clearly stated he sees himself here next season and further in the future.”

Earlier in the week, Frankfurter Rundschau claimed that Southampton had an £18m offer rejected by the Bundesliga club.

The Austrian defender joined from Augsberg  last August for a transfer free reported to be £8.1m with the player turning 28 earlier this month.
