West Ham have ended their pursuit of Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, according to a report by talkSPORT.

The Hammers had a £22.5 million bid plus £4.5m add-ons for the forward rejected last week, with Sevilla upping their demands to £35m.

But David Moyes want to avoid making the same mistake they made with Sebastien Haller and will not pay over the odds for their next frontman.

He is also mindful not to repeat his choice of Jordon Hugill who is struggling at Championship club Norwich after a £3m move.

Despite claims in Spain that West Ham will return and paid the £35m asked by Sevilla,  Claret and Hugh understands the manager will instead look at the overseas loan market to bring in a striker short term for the remainder of the season.
Moyes is likely to be ultra-cautious in his approach to signing a  new forward and will take no chances.
