According to Tuttusport, Spurs have registered late interest in signing Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang despite reports of a deal agreed in principle with West Ham.  It is claimed Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring a more physical aspect to the Spurs midfield and he is said to see Obiang as a good fit to achieve this.

West Ham and Sampodia are said to have agreed a fee at 7.5 million Euros (£5.4m) plus performance related add ons which could take the fee to £7m. With the player yet to agree personal terms anything could happen and his head could yet be turned by late Spurs interest. The Spanish midfielder has made 60 appearances for Sampdoria since 2010 scoring just one goal.  Obiang was capped for Spain at youth levels.
