Sullivan: “Striker search begins here”

David Sullivan has told ClaretandHugh the search starts this morning (Fri) for a new striker.

And the club are open to either loaning or buying one following the savage blow to Andy Carroll who will be out for four months with an ankle injury.

Speaking to this site Sullivan agreed the Carroll scenario had been a nightmare adding: “Its done my head in, but you don’t solve problems by ignoring them.

“The search for a striker either on loan or as a permanent signing starts now as what we have isn’t enough.”

That player though will not be Wilfred Bony despite the Hammers coming close to signing him last season.

Sullivan – in a Twitter question and answer session – had repeated what he told ClaretandHugh several weeks ago declaring: “I wanted him last season but nobody else at the club did.”
