The 5 things Moyes needs to fix

David Moyes has a bulging in tray and there are five things that he absolutely needs to fix at the club.

The Qatar tournament has called a halt to the Premier League but the Irons are in real danger of falling into a relegation battle.

Here are five things that must be sorted…

1. Sort the defence

Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd are being added into the defence but neither look good enough.

Injuries have played a part but Moyes desperately needs to find a solid centre back pairing that actually works,

There are issues at right back too; who does Moyes actually trust in the position?

2. Rotation, rotation, rotation

Stop flogging the players, Dave!

The likes of Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, and Jarrod Bowen have played too much football.

It’s time to give some of the supporting cast to show why they are at West Ham, particularly Flynn Downes.

3. Start with intensity

Too often we have seen West Ham surrender any potential control of the game by starting slowly.

It allows the opposition to control possession and start making chances, with the Irons reduced to playing on the counter.

It happened against Leicester in the last game before the break, and it needs to stop.

4. Score!

West Ham haven’t scored enough goals.

In 15 games, they have scored 12 goals. Only Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves have scored fewer.

The Irons desperately need to find a way to hit the net more often, especially when you consider that all three of the sides who have scored fewer goals are below them in the table and staring relegation in the face.

5. Turn the fans around

There have been some notable murmurs of discontent at the London Stadium and understandably so..

The Hammers need to find a way to again play in a way that brings the fans out of their seats.

Home advantage is a potent weapon, we must start using it to our advantage again.
