Zarate move fears as Italians move in

ClaretandHugh has established that £5-£6 million rated Mauro Zarate could be ready to seek a move – perhaps as early as January – if he doesn’t get more game time.

The Argentine striker is becoming increasingly frustrated at his limited cameo appearances and wants the chance to impress the manager.

Club insiders are aware of the player’s feelings and hope that he can be accommodated into the team regularly as – “at the very least an impact sub.”

And one very well placed source told us: “Unless he gets game time, like  any player he could be looking for a move – perhaps even   in January .

“He’s  under a watertight contract with no escape clauses and we hope against hope he can be kept happy one way or another.

“But he’s a top professional and wants to play. Goes without saying. It’s hard to hold on to a player should he become really unhappy.

“We all know  he’s a highly talented operator but he appears to be having a difficult time establishing himself in the regular first team thinking.

“There’s a possibility of course that should we collect more and more points by Christmas and get safer he may get his chances in an even more adventurous formation. If not we could see difficulties.”

The club has a £5-£6 million valuation on the player and we have had it on solid  authority that several top clubs in Italy are keen.
