French side Lorient have told Abdul Majeed Waris that he can only leave the club if  West Ham or another club is willing to pay 12 million euros (£11m) for his signature in this transfer window reports claim this afternoon.

The Ghanaian is desperate to leave but has been frustrated throughout the summer with three bids from Burnley rejected. Last Tuesday Burnley slapped in a £8 million deal for the Ghanaian only to be met with a big no as they hold out for a £11m deal.

The Ghanaian scored 9 league goals last season as Lorient.  Waris, formerly of Spartak Moscow and Trabzonspor, can play as either a striker or winger.  The transfer window closes this Thursday.
