Hammers look at Inter defender

Inter Milan defender Davide Santon is the latest name to be linked with the Irons as their frustrating hunt for a left back continues.

According to the Mail the 25 year old Italian is keen to return to England following a four year spell at Newcastle and the Irons are attracted to his ablity to operate on both flanks

Santon saw a move to Sunderland collapse last month after refusing a clause in his wages which would see his wages reduced if the club were relegated.

Santon made 94 appearances for Newcastle between 2011 and 2015 before returning to Inter.

The Hammers ae looking in his direction after slowly running out of patience with Norwich having seen bids for Martin Olsson fail with the relegated Canaries demanding £5 million.
