Adrian contract gives Irons breathing space

The likelihood of Joe Hart remaining at West Ham are about as thin as it gets despite morning newspaper reports that it’s a possibility.

ClaretandHugh checked the situation after his performance against Chelsea and was told that the entire goalkeeping situation would be addressed at the end of the season with one or two new stoppers on the agenda.

However, we were also told that at £110,000 a week there was very little chance of a deal being struck with Hart who has been a massive disappointment anyway.

David Moyes has made his immediate summer positional requirements known to the owners and a quality goalkeeper and central defender are at the top of his list.

For any deal at all to be struck with Hart he would need to accept a pay cut of around £50k a week and the number two position which is about as unlikely as it gets.

But at this stage there is no thoughts of doing business with the England keeper as Adrian has another year on his current deal which gives the club breathing space whilst they sort out the targets they genuinely want.
