After Pelle’s pathetic presser the the end is nigh

It’s been a pleasure to sit in on hundreds of press conferences down the years but I’m really glad that Manuel Pellegrini’s were not among them.

In the digital age there’s really no need because his words appear on club videos and the like within seconds – the prospect of actually having to attend and listen to some of the garbage he spouts is a horrifying prospect.

My sympathies to all those who have to because of the hundreds of bosses I’ve heard discuss the before and afters of matches there have been none as excruciatingly dreary and often sometimes nonsensical as the Chilean’s “in this moment” 🙂

There’s often a language barrier problem of epic proportions when even after they have been transcribed and land in my in box I’m struggling to understand them to the point where numerous paragraphs are just deleted.

Here was the more understandable stuff from his post match presser tonight:

CandH ratings man Niall McDonald – as frustrated and angry as the rest of us – commented on the CandH Facebook group @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ for all of us when he said: “I’ve no idea what he’s talking about there.

” It was a dreadful game from two bad sides. Neither side looked like scoring until we did and woke them up. Even then, I think it was the manager’s substitutions that turned the tide in their favour.

No team can sit on a one goal lead in any league, as you are always susceptible to a moment of magic.
As for not remembering a save the keeper made – he made one terrific save!!

Niall’s nailed it and after the five comments I’ve pinpointed from his after match post mortem were I his boss he’d be gone by now. This is not the way a manager who has lost nine games – many from winning positions – should be reacting.

Right at this moment we are a total mess, he cannot lead us from it and the board has to do the right thing and send him on his way!

End of!
