Nayef Aguerd played his part as Morocco shocked Belgium at the World Cup.

The Hammers defender played the full game as the African side pulled off an almighty upset, beating the European giants 2-0 in the group stages.

Morocco drew their opening game 0-0 with Croatia but their 2-0 win over Belgium has given them a very real chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds.

A win over Canada in their final group gam would send Morocco through, after they won just their third ever game at the biggest tournament in football.

Aguerd was central to the result, playing superbly at centre-back and nullifying the Belgium attack.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Dries Mertens struggled to make anything happen, despite being tagged as the second best team in the word.

Belgium’s qualification hopes now hang by a thread, particularly as they were given a huge scare by Canada in their opening win,and may need to beat Croatia to get through.
