Albian Ajeti has taken no time at all in putting West Ham well and truly behind him but not before he aimed a parting shot at the managers Manuel Pellegrini and David Moyes who refused to given him the chance to show what he could do.

After signing a four year deal with Celtic he was quick to make it clear that he should have had more opportunities to show what he was about.

As he was presented to the media he made sure that the message was out there when discussing his near wasted year at the London Stadium after signing for the club in an £8 million deal.

He made just  nine appearances – some of no longer than ten minutes or less –  before being flogged off at a £3 million loss after a solitary season at the club.

He picked his words carefully but it was quite clear what he thought of his treatment declaring: “Yes, to be fair I deserved to play more, I don’t need to hide that. I deserved that.

“But this is football, this is how it is. I am really happy now. What is gone is gone and I’m looking forward now. I just think I need to play and this is why I signed for Celtic.”
