West Ham could be hit by the ‘Allardyce Factor’ at Goodison Park this evening (Wed).

The former Irons boss is widely reported as being close to signing a deal to take over the Merseysiders – a move which could be made even before tonight’s game.

And it could even be that the stout figure of the former England boss will be seen watching from the stands ahead of taking over what would become his eleventh club as a manager.

Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth has pleaded with the club to make an appointment and it may well be that the Everton players would be galvanised for the game with an appointment of the 62 year old.

However, Hammers boss and former Toffees chief David Moyes has made it clear this is a game we “must win” and after a battling performance against Leicester City confidence appears to be growing.

Michail Antonio is available for selection but the game will come too soon for Javier Hernandez.
