“He is playing very well, very consistent and he’s at a very good age so if they ever need a centre-half, if he continues to grow like he is doing on a regular basis and takes West Ham to the next level, then he might get recognised internationally.
And he concluded: “They can scoff all they want. But if he plays consistently well for us and at a level where he has played against his opponents like Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill, I don’t see a huge amount of difference when I watch them playing against each other.”
