An embarrassing and indefensible Sullivan interview

David Sullivan’s decision to embarrass himself and every fan of the club with his entirely unnecessary talkSPORT interview begs yet another important question.

What did the players think of it all?

Why on earth Sullivan believed his declaration that he was becoming more miserable with every passing day would help anything is a question nobody will ever answer.

And discussing players who have failed to impact on the club over the last couple of years is hardly the sort of comment which will have them sweating their wotsits off.

But coming on top of Mark Noble’s angry tweet about the Diangana sale, retweeted before being removed by Declan with support from Seb Haller,  you wonder what on earth was going on in his head. Answer seemingly: Not a lot!

All he managed to do was confirm that Noble’s reaction was justified despite later reportedly holding peace talks with him. We lost a promising player for the sake of a few bob which he now admits he’s struggling to spend anyway.

I think if I – or any of you – were players at West Ham right now we’d fail to understand just where the club was heading and how we might be able to get out given we are apparently poverty-stricken.

In the past, we as a site have attempted to be supportive of all areas of the club but you can’t defend the indefensible

And for a club chairman to make such comments about the club so publicly was in our terms exactly that. Embarrassing!

We can now wait for fans of other clubs to take the right royal out of us!

He claims he’s finding life hard to handle. Well here’s a piece of news he may not be aware of …SO ARE WE!
