West Ham’s near zero hopes of attracting Carlo Ancelotti to the London Stadium appear to have hit rock bottom with news that the Italian is on his way for talks with Everton today (Fri).

The Hammers had shown an obvious interest in the former Chelsea boss when he was sacked by Napoli earlier this week with the 60 year old becoming a very tentative name on the wanted list.

However, should the deal be clinched it may well open the way for David Moyes to again become the leading contender for the Irons should the club sack Manuel Pellegrini.

According to reports this morning Ancelotti is due to sit down with Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright today.

Arsenal are reported to have spoken to the Italian’s lawyer but are not in a position to arrange a meeting with the 60-year-old about taking over from Unai Emery.

Meanwhile the Hammers are waiting until the Southampton game to decide the fate of Manuel Pellegrini.
