Anderson absence may be very significant

The absence of Felipe Anderson from the team that beat Southampton could become one of the most significant moments of the season so far.

I’ll come straight to the point: I really don’t think the Brazilian  is the type of player David Moyes fancies overmuch.

There’s no question the guy is super talented on his day but his days have been seen very rarely this season and after returning from a six week absence it seems seems pretty significant from where i’m sitting that he should be dropped after one game.

More and more it’s being noticed that this is a guy who tends to back away from 50/50s and marginally worse challenges and that’s not going to sit well with this particular manager.

With Pablo Fornals growing into things big time and Tomas Soucek looking a real player suddenly the area of the pitch where we had real problems is looking good.

For me the natural midfielders when fit are Declan Rice , Pablo Fornals , Tomas Soucek , Jarrod Bowen with Snoddy and Noble plus Anderson on the bench.

It seems once a player falls out of favour with the boss it’s hard for them to find a way back – such was the case with Chicharito at Man U – and although it’s only my impression I’m not sure Anderson and Moyes is a fit at all.

I’m not suggesting for a minute that this is a 100 per cent correct observation but I really feel that Moyes may see the Brazilian as a luxury player  perhaps he can do without along with Yarmolenko next summer should we remain in the Premier League.
