Felipe Anderson is not ready to accept that his West Ham career is behind him and plans to come back stronger and fitter next term.

The Brazilian is now on his way to Porto after the Hammers agreed to loan him to the Portuguese Primera Ligue outfit for the season.

We understand there is no option for a permanent deal involved in the arrangement despite the Hammers receiving a large loan fee and with Porto ready to pay the 27-year-old’s wages.

He would need to return a very different player to the one who has now departed to find himself back in the manager’s reckoning.

But despite his fall from grace, he is hoping that the move will kick start a new phase in his West Ham United career and certainly doesn’t see his present circumstances as final..

“I have a contract still with West Ham so next season I’ll be here so I need to do my best to be back stronger,” Anderson told talkSPORT (11:12pm, 7 October) He was asked if he was hoping to get back to West Ham next season and be successful, which he responded by saying “yes of course”.
