There are many factors involved in settling into a football club and forging your best form. There’s always pressure especially when you have cost £35 million and exceeded a club transfer record by £10 million.

This the expectations heaped up as Felipe Anderson took his first steps into the Hammers team and the initial reaction was deep disappointment.

But since then his form has improved dramatically as he has worked hard in all areas off the ptch and it appears that key to that has been Chicharito.

Little Pea has had plenty of problems at the club and maybe the adversity suffered by both has forged a relationship which can be of great profit to each other, the fans and the club.

Anderson’s latest interview with the club at www.whufc.com appears to imply that may be the case and its great to read that the pair of them appear to be getting on so well.

He said: “Since I arrived, Chicharito always treated me well. He gave me his trust on the pitch, he always let me know that I could count on him to finish my moves and like that we developed a good feeling and that has been important.

“And also we have a very good relationship off the pitch.”

He added when asked of his international hopes: “I’m just thinking about the club at the moment. Of course, it’s one of my goals, one of my dreams to play for Brazil, but I have to be at my top form when I’m called.

“I know I have the talent but I have to focus here at West Ham and play well here, to give my best for this team and to dream big.”
