West Ham’s medics and the player himself are confident that Michail Antonio is not suffering a new hamstring problem but he will be  scanned on Monday morning to ensure that all is well.

The brilliant Hammers central striker left the action during the second half after a top performance and magnificent goal having departed early against Spurs last weekend in similar circumstances.

And David Moyes commented after today’s game that while he was hopeful the No 30 wasn’t suffering a more serious problem he was concerned that he had reported the same issue in successive games.

Michail was reported as having said that he had felt something in the hamstring area but after being examined following the game West Ham’s medics are of the opinion that he was suffering only from cramp.

And we were told this evening that the player himself was much happier, believing the same, although having taken him out of the action as a precaution, the club will adopt the same policy and ensure he has a scan on Monday morning.
