Michail Antonio has scored more goals in 2016 (15) than Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino (14 each).

Antonio scored his eighth Premier League goal of the season on Boxing day in a 4-1 demolition of Swansea City adding to the seven goals he scored last season from January this calendar year.

Another interesting statistic is no other Englishman has scored more Premier League goals this season than Antonio.

His eleven headed PL goals in 2016 has equalled the mark set by Everton’s Tim Cahill in 2010.

His six headed goal tally this season is the highest in the Premier League and only one behind the third-highest total set in a season, achieved by five players, including former Hammers Les Ferdinand and Teddy Sheringham.

The all time record is held by Everton’s Duncan Ferguson in the 1997/1998 season and Coventry’s then Dion Dublin in the 1995/1996 season both of which headed nine home in a season. With half a season still to go Antonio could still yet pass this all time record set in the nineties.
