Marko Arnautovic has made an extraordinary “I’m ready to come to West Ham ” declaration.

The former striker – who could hardly have left in more acrimonious circumstances – chose to make his point on former team mate Arthur Masuaku’s Instagram.

It will provoke a seriously mixed response from the Irons fans – many of him can’t forgive him for his regular problems and threats of departure whilst at the club.

Eventually the Irons were virtually forced t get rid of him at a cut price to  Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.

The guy heads into his 32nd year following his 31st birthday on Sunday and that may enough to scupper any hopes he holds of returning to the London Stadium.

Sebastian Haller hasn’t made the most successful start to life at the club but has looked a different player when teamed with Michail Antonio.

And although David Moyes is a big admirer of the Austriam, having turned him into a centre forward, he has made it clear he is looking to build a more youthful Hammers team.

Masuaku staged a live Instagram session on Wednesday evening and Arnautovic appeared in the comments, telling the Frenchman that he is keen on returning to the London Stadium – after just 16 goals and 10 goals for Shanghai SIPG.

He commented: “Tell them that West Ham need me, I come bro, no worries.”
