Robert Snodgrass may be about to attract a third club as a serious battle develops for his signature.

Aston Villa are reportedly favourites to grab the Scottish international with Sunderland also in the frame but both of them may be hijacked by Harry Redknapp and Birmingham City.

Snodgrass has been exiled from the Hammers first team squad and is currently training with the under 23s ahead of a near certain move out of the London Stadium.

And a Redknapp move would be certain to upset deadly rivals Villa on the other side of the city but it’s beginning to look very possible after the former Hammers boss made his feelings clear on the player.

Speaking to ITV Racing he said: “”I think Snodgrass might leave West HamAston Villa and one or two are in for him, Sunderland.

“I’d like him as well at Birmingham. Good player.”

With three clubs the Irons look set to agree a more ptable wage sharing deal than the 50-50 thought to be on offer from Villa.
