Ayew bids to prove fans correct!

Andrew Ayew makes his first London Stadium start this afternoon hoping to prove the majority of ClaretandHugh followers correct.

He was a clear winner of a poll which asked who would be the first Irons striker to score for the club this season ahead of Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

The £20 million club record signing lines up in a team which sees two changes from last weekend with Edmilson Fernandes on the bench and James Collins coming in for the suspended Winston Reid.

Over 20 per cent of those polled believed Ayew would be the first striker to get on the scoresheet this season which of course excluded makeshift front man Michail Antonio.
