Ayew given permission to play

West Ham have been given permission by Avram Grant to delay the arrival of Andre Ayew at the AFCON training camp in UAE.

The Hammers submitted a formal request to the Ghanian football authorities to delay their arrival of their record transfer signing  at the training camp by two days. West Ham are obliged to allow players on AFCON duty to join up 14 days before the finals start.

Aston Villa had announced that Andre’s brother Jordon had been given permission” to join up late and this morning a West Ham insider told us “Ayew is available tomorrow”

The 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) runs from 14th January through to the 5th February in Gabon.
