Ayew knocked out of African Cup of Nations

Hammers Andre Ayew has been knocked out of the African Cup of Nations in tonight’s semi-final.  Ghana were two nil losers to Cameroon who now progress to Sunday’s final against Egypt.

Ayew played all ninety minutes but was not able to cancel out the two goals scored by Cameroon in the second half.

Former West Ham manager and now manager of Ghana, Avram Grant will go home empty handed.

Ghana will play Burkina Faso in the play offs on Saturday for the unimportant third place in AFCON.

Cheik Kouyate  has already returned to the training ground today but is likely to be available for selection on Saturday should Bilic want to pick him.
