Baby boy has gone – let’s all rise above the brat

No I’m not disappointed. …no I’m not angry and no I don’t really care… but I am extremely relieved the baby boy got homesick and went home after acting like a brat.

Why, because his actions galvanised the squad and has taken us to what should be near safety and paved the way for players who want to play for West Ham to arrive .

It’s always alarming to see grown men behaving like children and I have no doubt that it will happen again at some stage because that what ‘children’ do.

It would be all too easy to rant and rave about his treacherous behaviour but in the end he’s not worth it and I reckon we should all rise above him.

I’ll just say this. I don’t believe all the stuff about family problems. I think this is just Payet who has acted in precisely the same way throughout his career when he has wanted his own way. Different club…different excuse.

He was bought for £10,5 million, gave us one good season and we have now made a £15 million profit with more to come probably.

The board had no alternative in the end because Slaven and the squad were desperate to be shot of him and the best deal the board could get was done.

He and his secret plotting were the reasons we couldn’t get more but I reckon in the end it was decent business.

Dimitri Payet is heading towards the last years of his career and on his way  back to a team in sixth place, 12 points off the top three in an average European league.

Poor ambition, poor human being, poor behaviour. We are well rid – now let’s all forget about the biggest baby ever to join our club.

As I wrote on the ClaretandHugh Facebook forum @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ Ta ta Payet – you are no longer an issue. You ruined the great moments we should have remembered completely. BE GONE WITH YER
