Diafra Sakho’s move to Sunderland hinges on West Ham signing Carlos Bacca.

The Shields Gazette claim that Sunderland are banking on the completion of the Bacca deal to trigger the opportunity to land Sakho.

The Hammers appear to be equally keen to offload one striker from their wage bill or at least having a deal in place.

In its reprt the local paper says the Hammers are unwilling to let the 26-year-old leave West Ham without cover already in place.

West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Bacca in a reported £27.5million deal, with meetings due to take place today and a possible announcement on Saturday during the home kit launch at the former Olympic Stadium.

Twenty nine-year-old Baccca joined Milan from Sevilla 12 months ago for a fee of around £22million after his release clause was activated and is contracted to AC Milan until 2019.

Sakho was bought to England  by David Sullivan two years ago. He had cost £3.5million from FC Metz after Allardyce tried to change the terms of the deal from a permanent signing to a loan. Since his move to West Ham he has 44 appearances to his name and has scored a respectable 15 goals in that time.
