West Ham have pulled the plug on moves for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on the back of some incredible financial demands.
The Belgian international – who managed just three goals in 23 games for Valencia during a half season on loan – had made it clear he was reluctant to joining the Hammers anyway – preferring Spurs.
But when the south west London terms quoted the terms they were after they, coupled with the player’s demands,- received a quick ‘thanks but no thanks’ from the Hammers.
ClaretandHugh has learned from its senior source by text that the player was demanding personal terms of £170k a week.
And we were told that the Blues would be wanting a loan fee of £2 million whilst the agent representing the player would complete the deal on the basis of a £1 million fee.
Given that Batshuayi has hardly torn trees up since his arrival in the Premier League with just 32 Premier League appearances for a total of eight goals.
