Great first half from Masuaku

The Hammers matched Arsenal every inch of the way in a fascinating first half t the Emirates.

We closed down in midfield really quickly and well whilst looking as solid as we have all season at the back – defending in numbers and keeping a decent shape.

Mark Noble won a couple of cheap early free kicks but they didn’t convert into outright chances, before chancing his arm after advancing from midfield and firing wide.

Lanzini saw a free kick beat the cross bar before the Gunners moved forward and threatened through Walcott but his shot went high and wide.

The hosts then set up a a rap a tap attack which saw Hammers bodies flying in front of a series of chances before the ball thankfully flew over the top.

Arthur Msuaku looked the business at left back, Antonio caused plenty of problems and forced the first yellow card of the night when pulled back by Bellerin, Lanzini was always threatening nd so far all the defenders can take a bow.
