BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted Hammers joy this Saturday evening with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at home.

Lawro told his BBC website readers “Both of these teams are going well and West Ham, in particular, have impressed me. They seem to have added a bit of steel at the back compared to last season and Andriy Yarmolenko has shown how good he is since returning from his long-term injury. The Hammers have more to offer in attack than Palace do, which is why I think they will get the win here. I just can’t really see the Eagles causing them too much trouble.”

A Lawro prediction is like a kiss of death for West Ham but it is hard to disagree with his verdict that the Hammers firepower will be far superior to Crystal Palace.

It will be the first start for Roberto replacing the injured Fabiamski but hopefully, he will rise to the occasion at the London Stadium and the Hammers can keep another clean sheet.

Andriy Yarmolenko is the man of the moment and you would hope he almost a dead cert for a start and must be bursting with confidential after recent games.

I don’t usually find myself agreeing with Lawrenson but on this occasion, I am going to back him with his two-nil home win keeping West Ham unbeaten in seven games in the Premier League.
