It’s truly hard to see anything but defeat on the horizon this evening although it would be so West Ham were we to record our first London Stadium victory since  September.

At least history is on our side with just the one defeat in the last ten meetings at Premier League level and four of those unbeaten at home against the Foxes

Crumbs of comfort are hard to find but that Leicester are currently in a poor run of form since the season started and changes are on the cards could help.

But the reality is we make our way to the stadium heavy footed and deeply anxious with the managerial situation probably overshadowing the game itself.

So many players are out of form at the same time that Pellegrini’s enforced changes because of game weariness may be for the best with perhaps the likes of Diop, Masuaku, Lanzini and Anderson coming in and proving a point.

Skipper Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass have to be doubts and in that case Fornals may adopt a more defensive midfield role making room for the likes of Anderson or Lanzini.

Huge decisions for the manager ahead of one of the most critical games of his entire career. We go into  the game with hope, optimism and anxiety.

I’m gonna set my mood for the day right now and go for a 1-0 home win because it would be so very West Ham.
