West Ham has signed a new three-year principal sponsor deal with Betway thought to be worth £30m which will extend the betting company’s partnership through to end of the 2019/20 season.

“West Ham United are pleased to announce the renewal of the Club’s partnership with principal sponsors Betway. The new deal is the largest sponsorship agreement in West Ham’s history. The Club’s original deal with Betway was agreed in February 2015, and thanks to the great success of the sponsorship agreement to date, both parties were keen to secure the significant extension announced today.”

The 2015 sponsorship deal was worth just over £20m over three and a half years making each season worth around £5.75m. That deal dwarfed the previous deal with Alpari worth £9m  deal over three years before they went into administration.

The new record sponsorship deal is reportedly worth £10m per season giving West Ham the seventh most lucrative sponsorship package in the Premier League but still some way behind the top four.

Manchester United earn £47m per year for their shirt sponsorship followed by Chelsea at £40m per year. Arsenal pick up £30m per year while Liverpool pick up £25m and Man City £20m. Spurs pick up £16m per season for their principal sponsorship deal.
