And that will be an increase of around £24 million on a budget which saw the board project £10 million for League status at the end of the season.
With £2.2 million available for each position, sixth place would give the Hammers around £31 million.
On top of they could look forward to another €2,900,000 should they qualify and that will allow them to bring in a top striker – David Moyes’ main priority.
Each victory in the group pays €570,000 and a draw €190,000. Also, each group winner earns €1,000,000 and each runner-up €500,000.
The increase in positional money alone – coupled with the money David Moyes chose not to spend in the winter will allow the club to buy a quality striker.
First things first of course and we still need that point but should we get it, finding a decent striker will be easier given that we are indeed in Europe.
