Sonny Perkins could be set to move to Leeds this summer, as per a new report from Phil Hay.

The Athletic journalist is one of the most trusted insiders when it comes to the Elland Road club.

And he has now claimed that the former Hammers youngster could potentially end up moving to Leeds in this transfer window.

He rejected the offer of a new contract at the London Stadium and is now a free agent.

Perkins has also been linked with a potential move to Spurs but Hay insists he wouldn’t be surprised if the attacker did end up making the move to Jesse Marsch’s side.

He said on the Phil Hay show: “Perkins they [Leeds] really like and they wanted to move for earlier in the summer.

“It will have to go to a tribunal after he decides his next club. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Perkins ended up here.”

Perkins was a hit for the Hammers youth teams, making 53 appearances for the U23s and U18s, and he also made three senior appearances for the club.

The 18-year-old scored 19 goals during that time, and is also a former England U18 international with six caps.
