Former West Ham manager Sam Allardyce says we need to hear from the players before starting the English football leagues again.

Big Sam told Talk Sport radio listeners there hasn’t been a survey on whether the players want to play or not and said Gordon Taylor and the PFA should poll their members.

He said clubs can’t contract them to play under this situation adding we need to know what the players really think.

West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell seems to agree with Big Sam as the Hammer took to Twitter to reply to Talksport to say “I think it’s been made pretty clear players opinions don’t count for much along with the head medical officer of FIFA. It’s been 10 weeks since we last played to try to get a poll to see where players stand”

Earlier this week club captains attended a meeting with Premier League to hear about new safety protocols designed to keep them safe.
