Big six are no more!

It could be argued that there is no longer a ‘Big six’ but only a top-six or even a best six in the Premier League.

Traditionally Arsenal and Spurs have been included in the so-called ‘Big six’ but the term is now outdated.

It could be argued that Leciester City has just as much right to say they are in the Big Six, at least they have won something in recent years.

If we look at the top six for last season it included Leciester City and West Ham who could be regarded as the best six based on performances as well.

Spurs finished 7th and Arsenal 8th in a disappointing season for their fans.

There is no doubt that the Big four still exist with Manchester City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool but the fight for the next two places will be wide open this season.

Arsenal remains rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with no from their first three games.

Spurs are top for now after three wins after three but they have plenty of time to muck things up which they tend to do.

West Ham can’t be considered a Big Six club yet but if we constantly finish in the top six we could join Leciester City soon replacing our two London rivals.

It might take two or three more seasons but maybe David Moyes is the man to get us there!
