Bilic at centre of Turkish rumour

Fenerbahce are reportedly planning a move to take Slaven Bilic back to Turkey as their permanent successor to Dick Advocaat.

The Express  – in one of their regular fliers – reckons Bilic has emerged as the club’s first choice to take over from the former Sunderland caretaker following a disappointing season that currently sees them in third place in the Turkish Super Lig.

Bilic, however, has regularly claimed that he is unworried about speculation over his contract and it is highly unlikely he would see a move back to Turkey as anything other than a backward move.

He has already revealed that he and the board are looking at new signings and that he plans talks with Andy Carroll over his injury record.

Following the win over Spurs he made it clear also that he believes he is doing a good job at West Ham.

The club will discuss Bilic’s position at the annual review this summer but any thought that the 48 year old will readily walk away from the Premier League for Turkey is the stuff that fantasies are made from.
